Joe Moore of Gooshays passed away in October 2017

Joe has been a life long supporter of the Labour Party.

Joe served in the army during the second world war. He was a governor at Hilldene Primary School for many years. He was also the Chairman for some years.

A keen cricketer, who once played with Willy Hammond when in the army.

For many years he volunteered at the Ragged School Museum in Bethnal Green. He regaled the children who visited the museum with tales of growing up in London.

He served in the army in North Africa during World War 2.

Married for over 50 years to Emmy with whom he had 3 sons and a daughter.
